KNKR, 96.1fm broadcast live, the past 2 weekends, Kohala Cowboys Football & Kohala Cowgirls Volleyball. Both broadcasts were fantastic, as the broadcast team, led by KNKR Sports Anchor Donovan Aiona, had his knowledgeable crew ready. They gave great play by play as well as color commentary on the games and the athletes. Donovan knew most of the players as did the other broadcasters, allowing them to tell personal stories about the players as well as describe the games. The broadcast team did interviews with some of the players as well as interviews with coaches, including the Ka’u football coach. Our next live football game broadcast will be October 10.
