Due to ongoing brushfire operations and hazardous conditionsthe following road closures remain in effect:
Highway 190 is closed from the 14 mile mark at the junction of the Daniel K Inouye Highway or New Saddle Road on the Waimea side to the 17 mile mark on the Kona side. Detours are through Kaiminani Drive in Kona and Waikoloa Road.
Daniel K Inouye or New Saddle Road is closed from the junction with Highway 190 to the junction with the Old Saddle Road near Pohakuloa. Detour is through the Old Saddle Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid area and expect traffic delays. Crews are working to extinguish fire and open road as soon as safe to do so.
