On a beautiful Kuhio Day Holiday, The visiting Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Warriors came in and swept both ends of a BIIF Division 2 Double header. KSH won 8-4 in Game 1, and 11-1 in five innings in Game 2. Winning both games for the Warriors was their ace pitcher, Mykala Tokunaga. Taking the loss for Kohala was Mikayla Kekoa in Game 1, and Symphony Libron in Game 2.
In an afternoon contest at Pahoa, Kohala overpowered the Pahoa Daggers 8-3 behind solid pitching performances by Dregn Roque-Lewis, and Freshman Kaimi Hook.
Later that evening, the Kohala Cowboys JV and Varsity Volleyball teams were swept 2-0 in both JV and Varsity matches by the visiting Waiakea Warriors. Bringing Kohala the action was KNKR’s Live Broadcasting Crew comprised of Donovan and Sammie Aiona, Mr. Al Nickl, and the in-studio team of engineers Marieke, Doug and DJP. Let’s cheer on both the Kohala Softball and Baseball teams as they face their next opponent, the Hilo Vikings, on Saturday April 02, starting at 11:00 am at Kamehameha Park’s Main Diamond!!!
