Kohala High Tennis Team turns in a very respectable showing at the BIIF championships, now prepares for States!!!

Kohala Tennis players Jamesen Keyes, Isaiah Moreno, Chance Souze, Michael Bartolome, and Gabrielle Bartolome show respectable results on the final day of the BIIF tournament at the Mauna Lani. Jameson Keyes lost in his bid for the BIIF Singles Championship to Gil Azzi from Hilo High School. Keyes places 2nd in the BIIF! Isaiah Moreno lost in his consolation match, placing 4th. The Doubles Team of Chance Souze & Michael Bartolome lost in a semi final heart breaker two sets to one after winning the first set. Girls team player Gabrielle Bartolome also lost in her consolation match to place 4th in the BIIF as well. Congratulations goes out to all of our tennis players and to Boys Coach Hermann Fernandez, and Girls Coach, Jessica Brown. The HHSAA State Championships will run May 5-7 at the Mauna Lani Resort.
