ROAD CLOSURES
Akoni Pule Hwy. (270) between
Kawaihae / Waimea Junction just prior
to Hawi town.
8:00 am to 12:00 pm – Restricted except
for local traffic as safety permits.
Please Note: Alternate route to Hawi is via
Kohala Mountain Rd. (Hwy. 250) which
runs from Waimea to Hawi.
Queen Ka`ahumanu Hwy. between
Mauna Lani Drive and Kawaihae / Waimea Junction.
7:00 am to 12:30 pm – Restricted except for local
or resort traffic as safety permits.
Old Puako Rd. from Hapuna Beach State Park
entrance to just north of Waialea Bay (69’s Beach).
4:30 am to 8:30 am – ONE WAY (southbound) ONLY.
Northbound traffic must use Queen Ka`ahumanu Hwy.
Residents granted access as traffic permits.
Mauna Lani Drive entry will
have delays from 7:00 am to12:30 pm.
Traffic will be allowed as safety permits
