Sporadic thunderstorm activity persists near the post-tropical
low of former tropical cyclone Howard, which is located about 650
miles east-northeast of Hilo, Hawaii and moving westward near 15
mph. Marginal sea surface temperatures and hostile upper level
winds are expected to inhibit redevelopment.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Ivette, which is centered about 1600
miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Ivette is
forecast to continue on a westward track and cross 140W into the
Central Pacific Hurricane Center’s area of responsibility Sunday
night.
Lastly, keep an eye open as former Hurricane Earl passes through Mexico and into the Pacific and reforms.
