Madeline is now a hurricane packing winds of 100 MPH. The path keeps changing so keep watching. As of now, the path shows Madeline to be a hurricane as it passes south of The Big Island, which should bring lots of rain and high surf to The Big Island, starting Wednesday morning. Based on current projections, Madeline will have 80 MPH winds as it is closest to us.
AND, Hurricane Lester is also still coming towards us, further North than Madeline. Those effects will start late Friday. Lester currently has winds of 125 MPH.
