Kohala 8-Man Football Defeats Ka’u 24-14; Cowgirls Volleyball improves to 11-4 in White division play!!!

The Kohala Cowboys 8-Man Football team hung on to their championship hopes today by defeating the Ka’u Trojans 24-14 in Pahala! Leading the way was Sophomore Quarterback, Maui Hook, scoring two touchdowns, Kobie Kaholoa’a-Aguiar adding another and, Louis “Braddah” Arraujo kicking a field goal to end the Kohala scoring. Report courtesy of Mr. Sean Giron. At the barn on the campus of Kohala High School, the Cowgirl Volleyball team (11-4) defeated the Pahoa Lady Daggers in three straight: 25-14, 25-20, 25-19. In the JV contest, Kohala won 2-0. Kohala was led by the serving of Zaz Matsu and the outstanding net play of Mikayla Kekoa. Chipping in for the Cowgirls varsity squad was the always reliable combo of Shania Fuertes and Cheylin Imai. Kohala plays their last two away games at Hawaii Prep on Wednesday night, and at Honoka’a on Friday night. Way to go Cowboys and Cowgirls!!!
