peak today, then trend down tonight and Friday. The strongest
winds will occur over and downwind of terrain.

EVENING...
* WINDS...East 25 to 40 mph with localized gusts over 60 mph. The
strongest winds will occur over and downwind of the highest
terrain.
* TIMING...Through this afternoon. This warning may need to be
extended if conditions persist.
* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can down tree branches and cause
periodic power outages. Driving will also be difficult.
