BREAKING NEWS: Akoni Pule Closed at Halawa gulch

Akoni Pule/Highway 270 is closed near Mile Markers 25 and 26 due to fallen branches and power lines at Halawa Gulch. Due to the power lines, Helco has been called. However, because of the Holiday, a delay is expected. We are to expect the road to be closed for a few hours.

KNKR Antenna site

On Saturday the 15th of November a couple of volunteers helped us clear up some trees to make way for  sunlight to power our solar array on the shed. 1st programming meeting at our soon to be build studio

A few new faces spotted at the 1st Programming meeting at the KNKR studio, next to the new Sunshine Hardware building in Hawi. Post by North Kohala Radio. Just fixed the roof and will be ready to start redecorating and refurbishing with sound equipment soon. We'll also have a recording studio for local bands to play with. Everyone is welcome to join us and pitch in with programming ideas
