A 25-year-old paddleboarder was hospitalized in critical condition with multiple wounds after getting bitten by a shark Saturday morning near one of Hawaii's exclusive, white-sand resort areas. The attack happened around 9:30 a.m. local time at the beach in Kukio, which is considered to be a crown jewel along Hawaii's gorgeous Kona Coast. Masterful pitching performances at the expense of Honokaa have been the theme so far this week in BIIF Division II softball. Displaying pinpoint control, Kohala’s Mikayla Kekoa took her turn subduing the Dragons on Wednesday, striking out 10 in a four-hit shutout in the Cowgirls’ 4-0 victory in Kapaau.
