   800 AM PDT Fri Aug 17 2018 Lane's cloud pattern has improved significantly this morning, and the cyclone is currently undergoing rapid intensification. One lane of Hawi Rd btwn Akoni Pule Hwy & Keawe Iki St closed due to a downed utility pole caused by a traffic crash.

The northbound (makai-bound) lane of Hawi Rd between Akoni Pule Hwy & Keawe Iki St remains restricted due to a downed utility pole caused by a traffic crash. First responders have turned the scene over to utility crews who anticipate working throughout the day to repair the damages. Utility crews have set up an alternating traffic pattern using flaggers.
