The Kohala Cowgirls Softball Team lost to the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Warriors 10-0 yesterday, and 17-1 today at Kamehameha's campus in Kea'au. Mykala Tokunaga led the Warriors on the mound throwing four innings in a mercy rule shortened game (ahead by 15 runs in the 4th). In Game 1 of the BIIF Division 2 Girls Softball Championship series, Kamehameha Schools Hawaii defeated the Kohala Cowgirls 10-0 in 5 innings. Game 2 tomorrow at 11:00 am at Kamehameha Schools Hawaii campus. Both teams have already punched their tickets to the state tournament on Maui. The 2 out of 3 Championship Series will decide the top seed for the BIIF going into the D2 state tournament.
