Route 190 Now Open

Route 190 (Mamalahoa Highway) is now open to traffic in both directions.  It was closed earlier between Old Saddle Road and Daniel K. Inouye Memorial Highway due to a brush fire.  Waikoloa Road remains CLOSED between Route 190 (Mamalahoa Highway) and Paniolo Avenue due to the brush fire.

Hawaiʻi Island police are continuing the search for Justin Waiki for the murder of Officer Bonson K. Kaliloa, who was fatally shot while on a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 11, in Mt.
