The Hawai'i Police Department reports that the Hualalai Road closure has extended to the Kuakini Hwy intersection. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes and to avoid this location. The Old Airport gymnasium has been opened as a shelter.

– Hawai‘i Electric Light Company announces a partial lane closure on Kaiwi Street between Kuakini Highway and Luhia Street in Kailua-Kona from Monday, April 11, to Friday, April 15, 2016.
