Six Years on the Air! — in spite of the Covid-19 threat.

It’s almost unbelievable that 35 dedicated volunteers have kept Kohala
Radio on the air the entire year, day after day, in our small community
during the virus threat.

We are very proud of them: the ones who are on the air and others who maintain the station, with all of its complexities, from 8 am to 10 pm
daily. It’s great for entertainment, information and notices about issues
affecting our community, and for information during all emergencies
from hurricanes to earthquakes as well as the virus.

And, we added three new DJ’s this year. If you are interested in becoming a DJ, let us know. You too can participate on the air or doing other things at the station, just fill out the volunteer application at

Most important, we are thankful for you, our listeners. The
foundation of all this success has been your support.

As we enter 2021 we are once again depending on your financial support. This year we have continued reducing our annual expenses which are now below $36,000.

As in the past, donations of any size will be a big help to us in the coming year, and will demonstrate once again to our volunteers that you support Kohala Radio.

That means a lot to all of us.

It’s easy to contribute, and there are several ways to do it – please see the box below. Any way you do it, an end-of-year tax deductible donation would be a great Holiday gift to all our volunteers and Kohala Radio!

Thank you for helping to keep us on the air.

Your support makes community radio possible. Please make your tax-deductible donation today.

KNKR is a sponsored project of the North Kohala Community Resource Center, your donation will be received by them on our behalf.
