Advisory: Route 190 is now open in North Kona The Hawai'i Police Department reports that Route 190 in north Kona is now open, it was previously closed due to a brush fire
The Hawai'i Police Department reports the Route 190 between Makalei Street which is north of Kaiminani Drive to the Daniel K. Inouye Highway remains closed as Fire crews continue to address this brush fire. Route 190 is expected to be closed to at least noon today and another assessment will be made. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes and to avoid this location.
A message from COUNTY OF HAWAII The Hawai'i Police department reports that Route 190 from Kaiminani Drive to the Daniel K. Inouye Highway will be closed in both directions as HFD Fire Crews battle a brush fire between the 24 and 25 mile post. Motorists are being advised to take alternate routes and avoid this location. Unknown estimated time of reopening. Detour using Waikoloa Road and Kaiminani Drive.
