Spencer Park Closed Till Noon

The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation announces that it has temporarily closed Spencer Park at ‘Ōhai‘ula Beach until noon today Tuesday, August 18, to repair damage from Monday’s flash flooding. Spencer Park at ‘Ōhai‘ula Beach will be reopened at 12 p.m. The Department of Parks and Recreation regrets any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure and thanks park patrons for their understanding.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Hawaii Island.  Currently heavy rains and some flooding conditions are being reported across areas of both east and west Hawaii.
