Hawaii Fire Department reports runaway brush fires in area of Kawaihae Road Queen Kaahumanu Highway.  Queen Kaahumanu  is closed to all traffic at Puako Beach Drive.  Kawaihae Road Closed at 62 mile mark Waimea side and Akoni Pule intersection at harbor.  Detour through Kohala Ranch.

The Hawaii Fire Department reports a runaway brush fire in the area the 66 mile mark of Kawaihae Road just east or mauka of the Queen Kaahumanu intersection.   Kawaihae Road is currently limited to one lane traffic flow only and motorists are advised to avoid the area and to use alternate routes if possible.  […]
